I have been working in legal support roles for almost 30 years, both in Toronto and the GTA,
after graduating with an honours diploma from high school and taking a legal assistant
program.  My support roles have gradually become more complex as my work experience and
knowledge grew.
When I first started, my thought was that a job in a law firm working in the area of family law
would be interesting.  However, with the experience and knowledge gained from my job and all
that I saw, my focus switched to wanting to help those navigating the myriad issues involved in
a family law matter and bringing it to a conclusion.
Outside of the office, I like “unplugging” and spending time with my pup and family at the
cottage where I was lucky enough to spend a great deal of my childhood.  I enjoy photography,
music, nature, the outdoors and travel, which I hope to be able to do more of in the coming
years.  In the past, I volunteered with an emergency response team but am now looking into
other volunteer opportunities available in the Durham Region.
I appreciate the humor of life and I rarely make it through a conversation without inserting humor
in some form or another.  I am always striving to put a smile on the faces of the people around
me which can be a challenge considering my area of work.
